Job Description">

The Senior Roofing Consultant will oversee the preparation of CAD drawings, design tender documents and field data required for roofing remediation projects. This role requires exceptional communication skills, client relations and experience with project management functions.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the preparation of CAD drawings
  • Prepare design tender documents
  • Prepare technical specifications for roofing remediation projects
  • Direct the collecting of field data required for the preparation of repair specifications, drawings and tendering
  • Review shop drawings
  • Assist with the compilation of both field and report data in order to prepare specification documents and drawings
  • Review drawings and specifications to verify that the scope of work is sufficient and to ensure that all required details, materials, methods etc are correctly specified
  • Contract administration
  • Prepare design briefs for Client approval
  • Wind uplift calculations
  • Prepare condition reports
  • Coordinate and attend project meetings
  • Coordinate interdepartmental design requirements
  • Schedule mockups and field testing
  • Monitor Client scope and document changes as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Engineering or Architectural Technology (or a related field)
  • Minimum 4 years' roofing working experience
  • Experience specifying roofing systems
  • Project management functions with a focus on roofing remediation projects
  • Able to read Architectural Blueprints
  • General construction knowledge
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of calculations and completeness of data collection and notation
  • Good oral and written English communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and be flexible
  • Self-motivating and multi-tasking ability
  • Able to work individually and in a team setting
