Job Title: Security and Risk Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security and Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing security strategies that protect our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive crime prevention strategies to safeguard our community and assets.
  • Investigations Management: Lead investigations into criminal activities on campus, liaising with law enforcement agencies as needed.
  • Event Security: Manage security arrangements for special events and VIP visits, ensuring safety while maintaining our reputation.
  • Training and Development: Prepare and deliver high-quality security training and awareness programs for stakeholders.
  • Risk Analysis: Conduct thorough security reviews and provide expert advice to mitigate risks and threats to safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Seasoned security professional with extensive experience in law enforcement or a similar field, possessing strong investigative skills and the ability to develop strategic security initiatives in a complex organisational environment.
  • Substantial experience in law enforcement or security management at a senior level.
  • Expertise in criminal investigations, evidence gathering, and witness interviewing.
  • Strong skills in risk analysis and security planning for major events.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging diverse stakeholders and delivering training.
  • Experience in developing and implementing crime prevention strategies.
  • Proficiency in analysing security data and preparing comprehensive reports.
  • Leadership abilities in managing critical incidents and motivating teams.
  • Relevant qualifications in law enforcement or security (desirable).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable).
