Key Tax Controversy Role

Our national team of tax specialists has extensive experience in managing and resolving complex tax disputes, ensuring effective working relationships with revenue authorities.

  • Prepare clients for risk reviews, audits, and disputes with various revenue bodies, including the ATO, AusIndustry, and State/Territory authorities.
  • Develop written and oral advocacy skills to provide expert advice on taxation law and administrative law.
  • Collaborate with specialist groups across our practice in Australia and internationally on engagements involving complex domestic and cross-border tax issues.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in corporate tax, international tax, tax law, and/or tax dispute resolution and controversy in an advisory or professional services firm, a law firm, or the Australian Taxation Office will be viewed favourably.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects through strong collaboration and accountability for scope management and timely delivery.
  • Ability to negotiate discreetly with internal and external parties, including clients, government bodies, and other organisations.
