Your Responsibilities:
As a Senior AppSec Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing the application security strategy.
- Enhancing the security maturity of our products.
- Ensuring the security of the software developed by our teams.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with a skilled, cloud-native development team to drive a shared vision for application security. You will empower developers to create trustworthy products, engage in code reviews, and implement essential security tools. Additionally, you will work with external security testing partners to ensure and elevate security standards throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications for Success:
To excel in this position, you should possess:
- A solid foundational understanding of application security principles.
- Proficiency in secure software engineering practices, including the ability to write production-level code.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
- A comprehensive knowledge of industry cybersecurity standards such as ISO27k, PCI-DSS, NIST, and OWASP.
- Awareness of current security trends and the evolving threat landscape.
- Comfort in applying your skills across various platforms, including mobile, web, and enterprise systems.
- Willingness to work in a collaborative office environment.
