Program Leadership Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our outreach initiative, which supports young people leaving youth detention to successfully reintegrate into their families and communities.

The successful candidate will provide strategic guidance and subject matter expertise to ensure the program delivers high-quality, person-centred support to young people. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing operational leadership to program teams to deliver safe, effective outreach services.
  • Managing program operations in accordance with compliance standards and organisational policies.
  • Promoting and implementing best practices, embedding therapeutic crisis intervention and care models across programs.
  • Fostering a culture of client voice and participation in service delivery and program design.
  • Ensuring young people receive support to reconnect with family, education, and community networks.
  • Overseeing risks, staff concerns, and client complaints with professionalism and care.
  • Building strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including juvenile justice services and government agencies.
  • Providing advice to senior leadership on program performance, risks, and opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in human services or a related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within the human services sector.
  • In-depth understanding of Queensland's youth justice framework and service systems.
  • Strong skills in managing competing priorities and achieving results under pressure.
  • A commitment to the safety, wellbeing, and empowerment of young people.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Logan. Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks, including national criminal history records, Queensland blue card working with children check, and LCS check.
