Support Worker: Children and Young People

As a Support Worker in our Intensive Support program, you will provide compassionate care to vulnerable children and young people.

We believe in empowering individuals to reach their full potential by fostering positive relationships, promoting healing, and delivering culturally inclusive services.

  • Deliver daily support and plan activities aligned with individual goals and objectives.
  • Role model respectful behaviour and apply age-appropriate strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding youth-related matters.
  • Transport clients safely and responsibly, adhering to legal and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records and documentation.
  • Provide culturally sensitive services, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, to support sustainable outcomes in a culturally safe environment.
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working with children and young people in care settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
  • Current driver's licence (P2 minimum).
  • Understanding of child protection and domestic violence frameworks (desirable).
  • Possess or the ability to obtain a National Police Check, Blue Card (Working with Children) and a Licensed Care Services clearance.
