**Job Overview:**

The Southern Districts Junior Basketball League is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Competitions Manager to lead the management of our competition.

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional who can provide exceptional operational support and leadership to drive the success of our league.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage employees and volunteers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the operations of the competition including grading, regular season and finals
  • Ensuring integrity of data management
  • Reviewing and reporting on the performance of the competition and developing strategies for the future

Desirable attributes include:

  • Ability to react promptly and appropriately to changing circumstances
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Commitment to fairness and equity

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of basketball and its by-laws, as well as experience using competition management software and communicating with various stakeholders.

They will also be able to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Responsibilities and Qualifications:**

The Competitions Manager will be responsible for providing leadership and operational support to ensure the smooth running of our competition. This includes:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the competition
  • Coordinating with teams, officials and other stakeholders
  • Providing technical support and assistance to participating clubs

**Requirements and Skills:**

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A strong understanding of basketball and its by-laws
  • Experience using competition management software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
