Youth Program Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to lead our Junior Youth Group (JYG) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing engaging activities for tweens, fostering a sense of community and connection to Temple Israel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a programming calendar, including at least 16 events per school year
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue booking, transportation, and event details
  • Manage budget and financial planning, including cost recovery and budgeting
  • Communicate with parents, tweens, and Temple staff to ensure successful events
  • Collaborate with the Rabbi and Youth Committee Chair to develop programming based on tween feedback and ideas

Requirements:

  • Experience in youth programming and event planning
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Basic knowledge of Canva or similar design software

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will have access to the Temple building and security for programming purposes.

Compensation:

$400/month (Expected hours of work required/month: 12-15 hours)
