About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Signal Electrician to join our South East Queensland (SEQ) Network Assets business. As a Signal Electrician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective operation of our 700 kilometers of rail network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair signalling equipment to ensure compliance with technical and operational specifications.
  • Perform fault finding and repair of signalling equipment to minimize downtime and ensure network reliability.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities to ensure the optimal performance of signalling assets.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure the long-term reliability of signalling equipment.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to subordinate employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements:

  • Cert IV Electrical Railway Signalling (desirable but not mandatory)
  • Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence
  • C Class Drivers Licence
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
