Chief Data Innovation Officer

We are seeking a skilled Data Strategy Lead to develop and implement data analytics and innovation strategies that drive business value.

• Develop and implement data analytics and innovation strategies to drive business value and make recommendations to senior leadership.
• Lead strategic planning activities to identify impacts and opportunities, and secure investment for strategic data priorities.
• Design operating model constructs for Lines of Business and Business Units to align with the overarching business data operating model.
• Manage divisional operations of the Data Chapters including Data Management, Data Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, and Data Engineering.
• Drive adoption of advanced data capabilities through upskilling and tooling, and create market-leading career propositions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize key data initiatives and investment required.

1. Strategy Development: Develop and implement data analytics and innovation strategies to drive business value and make recommendations to senior leadership.
2. Strategic Planning: Lead Board Strategy Review (BSR) process and strategic planning activities to identify impacts and opportunities, and secure investment for strategic data priorities.
3. Operating Model Design: Design operating model constructs for Lines of Business and Business Units to align with the overarching business data operating model.
4. Divisional Operations: Manage divisional operations of the Data Chapters including Data Management, Data Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, and Data Engineering.
5. Affiliation and Adoption: Drive adoption of advanced data capabilities through upskilling and tooling, and create market-leading career propositions.
6. Initiative Prioritization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize key data initiatives and investment required.

• Champion and embed our group and divisional data strategies across the organization.
• Develop data strategy and operating model transformation initiatives, including design and implementation of Lines of Business and Business Units Data Operating Model.
• Develop and expand the business data chapter to onboard all data professionals, set capability strategy, and oversee day-to-day Chapter operations.
• Ensure people and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure successful delivery of the Data Operating Model for the organization.
• Onboard all data professionals to the Data Chapter.
• Ensure compliance with Delivery Excellence frameworks and standards as aligned to Group Transformation requirements.

1. Leadership Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in strategy and organizational design.
2. Team Management: Extensive leadership experience managing cross-functional analytical and business teams.
3. Tech Knowledge: Strong technical understanding in tools and technology related to data.
4. Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of organization.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to present complex information in clear and concise manner.
6. Risk Management: Strong understanding of risk management in complex environment and ensure adherence with Three Lines of Defence model and compliance obligations.
7. Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of banking industry and financial products and services.
8. Project Management: Strong project management skills and ability to deliver on multiple priorities in fast-paced environment.
9. Problem Solving: Ability to think creatively and outside box to identify new opportunities and solutions.
10. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field.
