OT Network Systems Engineer

SAGE Automation is a leading provider of industrial automation and control services. We are currently seeking an OT Network Systems Engineer to join our team in NSW.

This role involves designing and delivering IT and OT networking and security technical solutions that meet the requirements and scope of the project. Key responsibilities include implementing safety plans, identifying and mitigating technical risk, and managing project issues.

The ideal candidate will have experience with OT Systems, including industrial networks, surveillance systems, and virtualisation and infrastructure. Network, Microsoft, and/or VMWare qualifications are highly desirable.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of IT and OT security requirements, including firewalls, content control, and intrusion prevention. Experience with vendor and other technologies used within the business is also essential.

Key Requirements:
  • Appropriate diploma or degree qualifications or verifiable industry experience in the application of IT and/or OT technologies.
  • Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including within virtual environments.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of good software development practices and principles.
  • Experienced in the design and implementation of networking technologies, including network switches, routers, firewalls, and VLANs.
  • Understands IT and OT security requirements, including firewalls, content control, intrusion prevention, vulnerability mitigation, and 2-way authentication.
