About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GIS Data Analyst to join our team at EBR. As a key member of our spatial data team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and services to ensure the effective management and accessibility of spatial data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce high-quality maps and reports in accordance with corporate standards
  • Lead and develop a team of 4 Spatial Data Analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure quality outcomes for our clients
  • Develop and implement effective processes to support and empower the team, ensuring best practice is used in data management and analysis
  • Conduct analysis and develop insights and recommendations to inform business decisions
  • Maintain the spatial database and GIS software, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in operations
  • Identify opportunities for technological development in the Department's GIS and web mapping environments, mentoring Department staff in the use of GIS software
Requirements
  • Expertise in integration and high-end manipulation and analysis of spatial data using GIS software
  • Degree qualified in Science, Engineering, or a related field, with experience in GIS and digital mapping
  • Ability to handle large volumes of complex data, with a strong aptitude for technical learning
  • Previous experience working with aerial imagery, historical maps, and other raster data formats is preferred
