GIS Analyst Role

Our client, a leading Spatial Solutions team, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic GIS Analyst to join their diverse and collaborative environment in Sydney.

As a GIS Analyst, you will work closely with the spatial team on a range of projects across various industry sectors, utilizing your expertise in ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, and other GIS applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the spatial team on multi-discipline projects
  • Develop and implement GIS solutions using ESRI ArcGIS and QGIS
  • Design and create professional GIS outputs, including maps and reports
  • Manipulate data from various software systems and maintain accurate records
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a consulting environment
  • Degree in Geography, environmental science, or similar tertiary qualification
  • Strong work ethic and desire to learn
  • High level of experience with ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, and other GIS applications
  • Strong cartographic skills and ability to create professional GIS outputs
  • Technical background and previous experience in an environmental consultancy
  • Current driver's license
  • Strong communication and stakeholder liaison skills
  • Ability to use initiative and execute sound judgment
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multitask

  • Knowledge of scripting languages
