Civil Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our Community Development team, you will be responsible for managing the civil design and documentation of urban, land, and subdivision projects in the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and coordinate urban, land, and subdivision projects from feasibility to construction
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications
  • Provide technical expertise to clients and support projects
  • Manage projects, including scheduling and budget preparation
  • Coordinate between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects
  • Conduct site inspections and manage project delivery
  • Contribute to the development of Stantec's knowledge and skills in civil engineering
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key clients
  • Assist in securing and delivering projects through business development and client relationship management
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in civil engineering design and project delivery
  • Experience with current civil engineering technologies, including design, modeling, and construction
  • Project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
