Role Overview
A challenging opportunity to drive positive impact in public sector services through innovative design solutions. Local Peoples is seeking an experienced UI/Digital Designer to join our team as a Digital Experience Strategist, focused on developing and delivering industry-grade design artefacts for our clients.

About the Role
This role requires a seasoned professional with expertise in human-centred design, systems thinking, and agile methodologies. As a key member of our embedded team, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to create service blueprints, system maps, customer journeys, and execute product or service delivery. Your extensive experience in conducting customer research, problem solving, journey mapping, ideation, prototyping, and testing solutions will be crucial in driving digital transformation and omnichannel strategies for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver end-to-end customer experience strategies.
  • Create industry-grade design artefacts, including service blueprints, system maps, and customer journeys.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to execute product or service delivery.
  • Conduct customer research, problem solving, journey mapping, ideation, prototyping, and testing solutions.
  • Drive digital transformation and omnichannel strategies for our clients.

Requirements
  • Extensive human-centred design experience.
  • Experienced with design thinking, systems thinking, and agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in conducting customer research, problem solving, journey mapping, ideation, prototyping, and testing solutions.
  • Understanding of accessibility requirements for design, including the WCAG guidelines and public sector design guidelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively with excellent time management skills.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Adobe XD, CC, and other relevant software.
