About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team as a Children's Menu Planner. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for planning and preparing exciting and healthy menus for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare a variety of nutritious meals and purees that cater to the dietary requirements of babies and young children.
- Manage the kitchen independently, ensuring effective stock rotation, budgeting, and shopping.
- Maintain the highest level of food safety and supervision in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Mentor and guide junior staff members in a professional environment to deliver high-quality food and service.
- Develop and deliver culinary classes alongside educators for young learners.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
- Current State Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
- Current Child Protection Training or willingness to obtain.
- Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR, and First Aid Certificates or willingness to obtain.
