The day-to-day responsibilities of this position will be diverse and engaging, as you provide assistance with activities of daily living within a client's home environment. Some key tasks include:

  • Transporting clients to appointments and errands
  • Preparing basic meals and snacks
  • Maintaining a clean and organized living space through light housekeeping and laundry
  • Providing personal care support, such as showering, dressing, and grooming

To succeed in this role, you will require a combination of skills, qualifications, and personal qualities. These include:

  • A minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Disability
  • A current First Aid & CPR certificate
  • A valid National Police Check and Working with Children's Check
  • A full driver's license with access to a vehicle
  • A Manual Handling Certificate
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive attitude and ability to work independently
  • Experience working with individuals who have complex behaviors or mental health needs
