Ongoing Full Time – 80 hours per fortnight plus monthly ADO. Available now. An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Pharmacist to join the Pharmacy team at Portland District Health.
As a clinical pharmacist at Portland District Health you will be responsible for the direct provision of pharmaceutical services to patients and staff, including inpatient and outpatient dispensing, supervision of technical staff, ward based clinical services, provision of medicines information and education services to clinical staff.
About You- Recent hospital pharmacy experience desirable for Grade 2
- Minimum 5 years of hospital and clinical pharmacy experience required. Exceptions may be made for candidates with under 5 years of hospital experience who demonstrate exceptional suitability in other areas essential for Grade 3
- Demonstrated sound level of current clinical pharmacy practice and knowledge.
- Current registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA with no restrictions to the scope of practice
- Minimum of Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent degree
- Relevant or working towards pharmacy or health related postgraduate qualifications.
- Member of relevant pharmacy professional groups (e.g. Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha))
- Demonstrate adequate level of clinical knowledge of current drug usage, interactions and counselling.
- Demonstrate clear and effective communication and liaison skills with internal and external stakeholders
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills
