Aboriginal Cultural Advisor

Congress is seeking a knowledgeable Aboriginal male with excellent verbal and written communication skills to fill the key leadership position of Aboriginal Cultural Advisor (Male).
Based at the Ingkintye Men's Centre, the Aboriginal Cultural Advisor uses their intimate cultural and social knowledge to provide advice, mentoring, and education to staff and management across all Congress services and programs.
This role is responsible for the continuous improvement of cultural safety, responsiveness, and knowledge to foster a strong organisational culture and optimise health and wellbeing outcomes for Aboriginal people working in collaboration with the Female Aboriginal Cultural Advisor.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advice and mentoring to staff and management on cultural safety and responsiveness
- Develop and implement strategies to improve cultural knowledge and understanding across Congress services and programs
- Collaborate with the Female Aboriginal Cultural Advisor to foster a strong organisational culture
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote cultural safety and responsiveness
