Job Overview

The Research Quality Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the preparation of the University's submission to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) with the ultimate goal of producing the highest quality outcome for the institution.

You will be responsible for the management and coordination of impact in relation to REF, providing support to the REF Steering Group, Unit of Assessment coordinators; and, working closely with the Pro-Vice Chancellor Research, you will manage and deliver the Annual Monitoring of Research (AMR) evidence-led process and developmental tool to support both the REF and the business planning of our Knowledge Exchange and Research Institutes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead evaluation processes that include reporting but also developmental and learning opportunities for participants
  • Proficiency in IT systems, websites and databases, and excellent communication skills across all media
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Good interpersonal skills are required for this role
