Job Title: Market Research and Operations Coordinator

About the Role

This exciting opportunity is part of a strategic expansion for a Japanese jewelry brand into the Australian market. The successful candidate will support local research and operational setup efforts.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough market research on the Australian jewelry industry, including trends, competitors, price points, etc.
  • Organize and coordinate focus group interviews to gather valuable insights from target audiences.
  • Determine suitable locations for pop-up stores or retail outlets, taking into account factors such as foot traffic and demographics.
  • Support lease negotiations, ensuring optimal terms and conditions are secured.
  • Establish relationships with local vendors and shopping malls, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in regular online meetings with the Japan headquarters, providing progress reports and findings.
  • Offer on-the-ground support as needed, including event assistance and launch preparations.

Key Requirements:
  • Australian permanent resident or citizen.
  • Current residence in Sydney.
  • Work experience in the jewelry or fashion industry.
  • Proficient English language skills (reading, writing, and verbal communication).
  • Strong communication skills for coordination with the Japan team.
