Nuclear Powerhouse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Powerhouse Specialist to join our team at the Australian Defence Force. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering project that will revolutionize Australia's defence capabilities.

About the Role:
  • Supervise, operate, maintain and administer submarine nuclear propulsion plants and associated equipment.
  • Operate and maintain reactor and propulsion mechanical systems, steam systems and supporting equipment and systems.
  • Ensure the highest standards of operational nuclear safety and security.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of reactor, electrical and mechanical theory involved in operating the nuclear reactor, steam plant, propulsion plant and auxiliary equipment.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in nuclear power or a related field.
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of reactor and propulsion systems.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
