Salary and Benefits:

Job Description:

As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems across ships and equipment ashore. This includes working on hydraulic, refrigeration, and lighting systems, as well as high voltage power generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain electrical systems onboard ships and equipment ashore
  • Detect and diagnose faults in electrical systems
  • Repair and replace faulty components
  • Conduct routine maintenance to ensure electrical systems remain serviceable
  • Work collaboratively with other tradespeople to achieve common goals

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Electrical Fitting or equivalent qualification
  • Experience working with electrical systems in a maritime or industrial setting
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
