About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team in the Victorian branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forging partnerships with key stakeholders, and expanding market presence within air freight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect and identify new business opportunities through targeted outreach and networking efforts.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand our client portfolio.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
  • Work with the State Sales Manager (Air) or Director of Ocean Freight to develop strategies and activities to support existing customer relationships and grow new accounts.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders and teams to develop value-added solutions.
  • Provide quotes to clients in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and market trends to track progress towards goals and identify areas for improvement or optimisation.
About You

The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented individual, capable of handling a variety of tasks with efficiency and enthusiasm. You will also have:

  • Experience in air freight processes either domestically or internationally.
  • Demonstrated history of achieving sales success and fostering business growth in the logistics sector.
  • Responsible and driven individual committed to delivering high-quality service.
  • Capability to execute strategic plans effectively.
  • Effective persuasion abilities.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills with a focus on problem-solving.
