About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Control Engineer to join our team at GEMCO, an open-cut mine located in the Northern Territory. As a Process Control Engineer, you will play a critical role in integrating Process Control Systems that enable continuous and efficient operations across our processing and dispatching facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the transition of new or enhanced technology services to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Configure and manage the Process Control Network, including development, deployment, testing, and optimization of the network.
  • Build interfaces between different PLC Control Systems, Instrumentation, SCADA, HMI, MES, and Historian.
  • Effectively fault find, diagnose, and resolve processing problems to minimize downtime and optimize production.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following areas:

  • Passion and commitment to workplace safety.
  • Experience working in a similar role within mining or heavy industry.
  • Knowledge of Citect/SCADA systems and experience with modification and review of electrical and P&ID drawings.
  • Knowledge of TIA Portal Programming Tools and ability to configure and troubleshoot Industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Profinet).

Qualifications

  • Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree qualification in Electrical engineering or similar.
  • Electrical trade certificate (desirable).
