Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance on export requirements and obligations;
  • Identify licensing needs for assigned projects to manage associated regulatory risks;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including correct marking and approvals;
  • Advise project teams on access to controlled technology;
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for assigned projects, participating in meetings as required;
  • Assist with export control training preparation, delivery, and monitoring;
  • Support junior staff development and provide day-to-day assistance;
  • Liaise with government agencies and international trade compliance colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively;
  • Knowledge of global trade laws and regulations in the defence environment, including ITAR, EAR, FMS, Australian Customs and Defence Trade Controls legislation;
  • Understanding of industry standards and best practices.
