Game Marketing and Community Management Role

Our Sydney-based studio is seeking a skilled Game Marketer & Community Manager to join our team. This newly created position involves working closely with our Executive Creative Director and Managing Director to plan, execute, and manage marketing and community management for our latest PC/Console game.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and configuring a Discord server, developing a content calendar, and planning weekly content themes. They will also coordinate with developers and production teams to gather content and updates, proofread and post content on Discord and other platforms, monitor and engage with the player community, and share weekly updates.

This is a 2-day-a-week contract, starting as soon as possible. Remote work is an option; however, being able to work in our Chippendale office is preferred. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and configure Discord server
  • Develop a content calendar for Discord and social media platforms
  • Plan weekly content themes such as behind-the-scenes posts, developer updates, and community Q&A sessions
  • Coordinate with developers and production teams to gather content and updates
  • Proofread and post content on Discord and other platforms
  • Monitor and engage with the player community
  • Share weekly updates
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Professional experience in digital marketing and community management
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools and analytics
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences
  • Ability to design marketing materials and produce video content
  • Basic photography, image/video editing, and graphic design skills
