Work with a talented team to develop large-scale creative projects in the entertainment industry.

Rockstar is seeking skilled developers who can combine technical excellence with a passion for making games. You will be part of a small team, taking responsibility for core gameplay systems and control interfaces using C++ and game script where appropriate.

You will work closely with animators, designers, and artists in the studio, as well as coordinate with other studios to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, engineer, and implement clean and concise APIs
  • Follow an iterative process to tune and polish features
  • Create tools to facilitate the implementation of game features

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in low-level software development
  • At least 2 years in the video games industry or a related field
  • Ability to write highly optimized C++ code
  • Strong understanding of top-down design, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and game design principles

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized with a proven ability to deliver on deadlines
  • Passionate about gameplay, system design, and methodologies that support a team creating games

Desirable Skills:

  • Prior experience working in large codebases with proprietary engines
  • At least one shipped title; preferably on Xbox or PlayStation consoles
