Job Overview

We are seeking a Disability Day Service Practitioner to support individuals with disabilities, the ageing and those experiencing disadvantage.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person-centred care in skill-building activities, focusing on client empowerment, community inclusion and overall wellbeing.

  • Supporting clients in adventure-based learning and empowering them to push beyond their boundaries.
  • Assisting with daily tasks, including personal care, hygiene and meal support.
  • Promoting community inclusion by identifying and facilitating engagement opportunities based on client interests.
  • Encouraging client participation in community activities, with support ratios ranging from 1:1 to 1:4.

We are looking for caring and empathetic individuals who have experience working within a day centre program and can maintain and update programs, file notes and documents as required. If you are passionate about supporting others achieve their goals and personal growth, this could be the role for you.

Key requirements include:

  • Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent qualification;
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification;
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain);
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain);
  • Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
