Our Team
We are looking for a skilled Diesel Fitter to join our team at our Calliope site near Rockhampton. Reporting to the Site Superintendent, you will have trade qualifications and good mechanical aptitude, with a willingness for ongoing training.
As a member of a small team of maintenance tradespeople, you will have good levels of autonomy and varied work including repair and breakdown, preventative maintenance, fabrication, and some mobile plant assistance.
This will be an ordinary day shift Monday to Friday role; however, you will be required to work on some Saturdays and be available to attend unplanned breakdowns, whereby overtime will be accrued.
The successful applicant will:
- Hold a relevant trade qualification
- Have a current manual driver's license
- Have experience with crushing and screening, milling equipment as well as sound welding and fabrication skills (highly regarded)
- Have a positive attitude towards Quality, Health and Safety, and Environmental requirements and legislation
- Have previous success in working as part of a team
Future training in various aspects of either Operations or Quality is available for the right candidate.
