Job Overview

The Pathology Collector role involves collecting blood & coordinating specimen samples from patients, using empathy and drive to deliver great customer service and quality healthcare. You will be required to work autonomously, sometimes independently in a solo clinic, and must be able to hold a valid Driver's license and have flexibility to travel to multiple clinics.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention
  2. Keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample
  3. Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times
  4. Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
  5. Liaising with customers, clinic staff and couriers

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy / Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background
  • Transferable skills gained in other positions within the healthcare industry highly desirable
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy
  • Organised, with strong time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously, sometimes independently in a solo clinic
  • Hold a valid Driver's license and have flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
  • Hold a working with Children's Check or be willing to obtain one
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency, New Zealand citizenship, or a valid visa with permission to work

Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum
