The Role

We're seeking an experienced Client Group Director who can lead a successful client relationship and drive results-driven teams. As the key point of contact for our clients, you'll be responsible for developing strong communication recommendations across all channels, paid, owned, and earned. You'll also need to bring together the right people to deliver high-quality outputs for your clients, ensuring that deliverables are grounded in client priorities.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Openly communicating and collaborating with internal stakeholders and reporting regularly
  • Holding regular performance evaluation meetings with reports throughout the year, setting SMART KPIs and creating a clear career development plan with them
  • Reviewing your team's training needs to ensure their career plans are aligned to their progression and responsible for training and development of all members of the team
  • Overseeing workflow between all members of the team and escalating any issues
  • Having expert knowledge and understanding of the wider agency structure, knowing when to tap into resources to enhance work
  • Owning the team WIP and being across the detail of current campaigns and future plans
  • Directing the team's workload and prioritisation to produce the best results for your clients

You'll also be responsible for establishing a deep understanding of client challenges, objectives, and initiatives, building on our agency's reputation for outstanding client service. You'll need to build strong and enduring client relationships at a senior level, provide innovative strategic insights by acting as an expert on the client's business, industry, and competitors, and seek out reformist ways to keep clients informed on relevant developments and changes to the media landscape.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:

  • Proven capability in managing a large, diverse team
  • Possession of a passion for media and marketing
  • Strong, up-to-date media landscape knowledge (confidently able to articulate macroeconomic and consumer trends and forecast challenges/opportunities for clients)
  • Inspiring communication skills with clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the patience to examine detail and create solutions
  • Collaborative and astute abilities to build trust and respect within a network
  • Results-driven approach to delivering business results for clients, with the ability to identify and clearly articulate what's working and why

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
