National Emergency Management Planning Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and critical thinker to undertake planning responsibilities in the Crisis Analysis and Planning Section.

The successful candidate will have an interest in emergency management and a desire to build knowledge and capability to inform decision-making and planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to strategic planning products for executive decision-makers.
  • Participate in Crisis Coordination Teams (CCTs) as required, including deployment domestically or internationally.
  • Support capability development projects across the Emergency Management Group.

As a member of the team, you will work closely with other agencies and partners to inform and support decision-making and planning.

**Key Areas Of Focus:**

  • Planning ahead of and in response to domestic and international all-hazards crises affecting Australia or Australian interests.
  • Managing the activation of national emergency response plans and requests for non-financial assistance.
  • Providing logistical support and managing CCT deployments.
