Job Opportunity: Interim Chief Executive Officer

The Goulburn Valley Libraries Board seeks a highly skilled and experienced leader to fill the position of Interim Chief Executive Officer for a three-month term, with the possibility of extension. This role will provide stability and leadership while recruitment for a permanent appointment is undertaken, ensuring the smooth operation of the organisation and continued delivery of high-quality services to our community.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing strategic and operational leadership to drive organisational success.
  • Supporting staff and maintaining organisational stability during a period of transition.
  • Reporting to and working closely with the Board to ensure effective governance and decision-making.
  • Progressing existing strategic priorities to deliver long-term benefits.

Suitable Candidates Will Have:

  • Demonstrated senior leadership and management experience, including team leadership and change management.
  • Strong governance knowledge and stakeholder engagement skills, enabling effective communication and collaboration.
  • The ability to lead teams through change with confidence and transparency, driving business growth and improvement.
  • Operational experience relating to public libraries or related services, although not essential, would be advantageous.
