The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Assisting in the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons across the curriculum.
  • Providing one-to-one or group support to students, especially those with additional learning needs.
  • Helping manage classroom behaviour and contributing to a focused learning environment.
  • Supporting students' social and emotional development by building positive relationships.
  • Contributing to the assessment and tracking of student progress under teacher guidance.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A university degree in any discipline, with a strong academic background.
  • A genuine interest in working within the education sector, particularly with Secondary students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate young adults while demonstrating patience and empathy.
  • An updated CV covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps, and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one.
