As an HR Business Partner, you will play a critical role in providing strategic HR advice and support to managers at all levels, in various business units across the department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide generalist HR advice and support to managers, including guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Contribute to and support change management initiatives, including organizational design and development.
- Support diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism initiatives, including developing and implementing strategies to promote a culture of inclusion.
- Resolve workplace issues, including grievances and performance management.
- Manage performance development and underperformance, including coaching and mentoring managers and employees.
- Contribute to improving workplace culture, including developing and implementing strategies to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Support the implementation of the Annual Performance Management Program, including developing and implementing performance management strategies.
- Contribute to and support organizational and role design, including developing and implementing strategies to improve organizational effectiveness.
- Manage case files and provide case management support to managers and employees.
- Qualifications in HR or a related discipline, and/or equivalent experience.
- HR or relevant experience, preferably within the public sector or large, complex organizations.
- Stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to develop strong partnering relationships with all levels of management.
- Change management experience and/or a willingness to learn about organizational design.
- Experience providing advice, coaching, and support to management and clients.
- A people-centric approach to case management.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present on a range of HR topics.
- A collaborative style, with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders from different areas of the organization.
- An understanding of legislative requirements and employee and industrial relations.
- HR systems experience, with the ability to research and analyze information to make recommendations.
- A high level of resilience, motivation, and perseverance.
