Job Title: Delivery Operations Specialist

This is a critical role that involves delivering exceptional customer service by ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers across various locations. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Pick all orders as per requirements and deliver them to designated storage sites in a timely manner.
  • Prepare individual orders and label their locations as well as date stamp all batteries.
  • Stack, wrap and pack scrap batteries as required at both DC and external storage locations.
  • Deliver all batteries to their designated storage sites and lock ups in a timely manner.
  • Receipt incoming goods as per procedure, including quality checks and voltage on arrival.
  • Contribute to the Health, Safety & Environment culture while ensuring compliance with safety initiatives, policies and procedures.
  • Report incidents and hazards to the Warehouse Supervisor / Logistics Supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse at all times and ensure that all newly delivered stock is receipted and stored in accordance with FIFO requirements.
  • Remove products to be returned from external storage locations and record according to inventory procedure.
  • Pick up warranties and return them to the Warehouse as per CA inventory procedure.
  • Ensure all storage sites are left clean and tidy and secure before leaving.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers and clients to meet their evolving needs and escalate issues and opportunities to the sales team and/or Distribution Management Team.
  • Adhere to OH&S legislation at all times and support cycle counting and stock-take as required in both DC and external storage locations.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 12 months experience in a warehouse distribution environment.
  • An unconditional driver's license.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Customer orientation and self-motivation.
  • Ability to perform physical duties.
  • Knowledge of inventory and accounting processes.
  • Desirable qualities include previous battery experience or knowledge of 3pl or warehousing operations.
