Pastry Team Leader Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Team Leader to join our culinary team at The Star. As a key member of our Pastry team, you will be responsible for leading a team of pastry chefs and supporting the Chef de Cuisine in all aspects of kitchen management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of pastry chefs to achieve high-quality pastry production
  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine in menu creation, ordering, and budgeting
  • Develop and implement training programs for pastry team members
  • Manage pastry production schedules and inventory
  • Collaborate with other kitchen teams to ensure seamless service

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Junior Sous Chef in a commercial pastry operation
  • Certification in Patisserie
  • Experience working in busy kitchens with large volume production
  • Admin experience to support with ordering, rostering, recruiting, and performance management
