The role of Investment Associate is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in the renewable energy sector. As a key member of the investment team, you will be responsible for working across various renewable investment and development opportunities to build and shape the future portfolio.

This role requires a strong understanding of the Australian energy sector and experience in deal process management. You will be expected to demonstrate your ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, as well as present ideas within the team and support writing investment committee papers for senior management.

Financial modelling experience is essential, with the ability to assess risks and bankability of projects and update/build financial models. You will also be required to work collaboratively with the team to deliver on M&A and deployment ambitions across all renewable technologies.

  • Manage multiple work streams with internal and external stakeholders or advisors
  • Demonstrate a commercial mindset and articulate the impact of investment decisions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to balance complex and regularly changing workloads and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Required Skills and Qualifications">

We are looking for individuals with prior relevant experience in an investment bank, private equity house, or in a corporate finance team of one of the big 4 accountants. Professional financial qualifications (accountancy, CFA/CA) and/or MBAs are desirable but not essential.

Eligibility to work in Australia – visa sponsorship is not offered. Core finance related business skills required:

  • Able to present conclusions and recommendations on investment decision making
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Strong financial modelling and risk analysis
