Counsellor - Mental Health

This role is part of a program that aims to empower women to take control of their lives and participate in their community. The successful candidate will provide alcohol and drug interventions, mental health support, group activities, and dual diagnosis counselling.
About the Role- The provision of centre-based, group, and mobile support services for women and children experiencing homelessness.
- Supporting participants involved in the Queensland Drug and Alcohol court.
- Early interventions for families and women exiting remand.
- To develop and implement evidence-based interventions that support client engagement, harm reduction, and tenancy sustainment.
- To plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate services and programs with a focus on continuous improvement and positive outcomes.
- To work effectively with clients, colleagues, and service partners to build strong relationships and achieve desired outcomes.
- To maintain accurate records, collect data, and report writing as required.
- To work independently and within a team environment with minimal supervision.
- A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or comparable field.
- National Police Check.
- Blue Card (Working with Children's Check).
