**Job Description:**

We are seeking an experienced School Counsellor to join our team at Banksia Beach State School. The successful applicant will be responsible for developing and implementing counselling and support programs for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns.

The School Counsellor will work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to identify student needs and develop strategies to support them. This may include one-on-one counselling sessions, group therapy, and classroom-based interventions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement counselling and support programs for students with mild to moderate mental health concerns
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other school staff to identify student needs and develop strategies to support them
  • Provide one-on-one counselling sessions, group therapy, and classroom-based interventions as needed

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Counselling, Psychology or a related field
  • Experience working with children and families, particularly those with mild to moderate mental health concerns
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A high level of emotional intelligence and resilience
