Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced medical professional to join our team in providing primary care services to residents of residential aged care facilities.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, conducting regular reviews and follow-ups, and performing annual health assessments.
About the Role
  • This is a unique opportunity for an experienced general practitioner to work solely on providing primary care services to residents of aged care facilities.
  • Responsibilities include undertaking clinical examinations, taking medical histories, arranging investigations, implementing management plans, and providing preventive healthcare.
  • The role also involves contributing to health assessments and medication management for new resident admissions.
Operational Support

You will have full operational support from administration staff, allowing you to focus on clinical tasks and patient care.

No After-hours Requirements

All after-hour calls made by aged care facilities will be directed to our medical deputising service, who will take the calls and provide advice.

  • Unrestricted VR - FRACGP or FACRRM preferred, or restricted VR doctor under moratorium.
  • AHPRA registered and permitted to work in Australia.
  • Ability to apply for a Medicare Provider Number.
  • Own professional indemnity insurance required.
  • Basic computer knowledge and good social and communication skills.
