Project Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Coordinator to join our civil infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering the utilities scope of works across major infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage utilities works, including trenching, conduit installation, pit construction, backfilling, and asset protection.
  • Liaise with utility providers to ensure approvals and compliance with asset owner requirements.
  • Interpret construction drawings and ensure accurate delivery of the utilities scope.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews involved in utilities relocation and installation.
  • Support project planning by developing short-term lookaheads, schedules, and resource plans specific to utilities.
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, permits to work, ITPs, and other relevant documentation.
  • Conduct quality checks, inspections, and testing to ensure compliance with design and industry standards.
  • Monitor safety performance and participate in site safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure smooth integration of utilities with broader project works.
  • Support project reporting, including progress updates, cost tracking, and forecasting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally on large-scale civil or infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience working on utilities relocations and service installation (water, electrical, communications, gas, stormwater, sewer, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of asset owner requirements and approval processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Competency with project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • White Card and relevant safety certifications preferred.
  • Driver's license required.

Utilities Project Coordinator Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. They should have proven experience working on utilities relocations and service installations, as well as strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

They should also be competent in project management software and MS Office Suite and hold a White Card and relevant safety certifications. A driver's license is also required.
