Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced communications professional to join our team and assist in shaping and executing project communication efforts that influence growers across Australia.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in organizing industry events, including conferences, workshops, field days, and the annual Weed Smart Week held in July.
  • Coordinate the digital presence of Weed Smart across various platforms, such as the WordPress website, podcast, video publishing, and social media channels.
  • Liaise with graphic designers and video editors to produce marketing materials, support digital communications activities, and contribute to engagement analysis reports and strategy development.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, agricultural science, agribusiness, or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent competency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a nuance for messaging suited to agricultural audiences.
  • Substantial relevant experience in marketing, communications, or publicity with specific experience in initiating and delivering engaging digital products.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in a range of computing skills, including Microsoft suite, website management, and experience using Canva, Trybooking, and Mail Chimp.
