As a seasoned Data Engineering Expert, you will play a pivotal role in driving the bank's data transformation journey. With your expertise in software development and passion for delivering data-driven solutions, you will be at the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge technologies to solve complex data-centric problems.

About the Role:

This is an exceptional opportunity to join our advanced Data Engineering team and contribute to building state-of-the-art data solutions that power seamless experiences for millions of customers. As a key member of this team, you will work collaboratively with engineers to design and develop innovative data platforms across the bank.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and deploy high-quality data pipelines and engineering roadmaps for a multi-year data transformational journey
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data-driven initiatives that drive business value
  3. Stay up-to-date with the latest Big Data and Data warehouse technologies, and provide strategic guidance on their adoption
  4. Develop and maintain technical blueprints and engineering roadmaps for data-driven projects
  5. Build and support large-scale data products by integrating diverse data sets from internal and external sources
  6. Ensure data governance and quality through responsible data pipeline management and ETL framework implementation
  7. Communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders and influence data-driven decision-making

Tech Requirements:

We use a range of tools, languages, and frameworks. While experience with all of them is not required, exposure to some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team:

  • Hadoop/Teradata platform using Spark, TCF, and various ETL frameworks
  • Kafka/Stream ingestion experience
  • Strong scripting knowledge in Java or Python
  • Exposure to AWS Cloud platform
  • AWS Glue or Ab-Initio ETL tool experience
