The Opportunity

As the Sustainability and Environmental Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our sustainability strategy and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) plans. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement a robust sustainability framework, leading the development and execution of our sustainability strategy to achieve our environmental and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement environmental strategies, objectives, and targets aimed at minimising our environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with SSQ and construction delivery teams to ensure customer requirements are met and to identify and pursue opportunities for sustainability improvements in customer projects.
  • Develop and implement environmental management systems to the ISO14001 standard.
  • Partner with executive leadership teams to establish sustainability frameworks, goals, and targets.
  • Work with statutory environmental monitoring and management guidelines.
  • Develop and implement GRI reporting.
Requirements
  • 8+ years experience in environmental management in a construction or heavy industry environment.
  • Proven experience in developing and actioning sustainability strategies across large organisations.
  • Experience in developing and implementing environmental management systems to the ISO14001 standard.
  • Experience partnering with executive leadership teams to establish sustainability frameworks, goals, and targets.
  • Working knowledge of statutory environmental monitoring and management guidelines.
  • GRI reporting knowledge and skills.
