Job Opportunity

This role encompasses the oversight and optimization of container fleet operations across Australia.

The successful candidate will manage all aspects of container logistics and intermodal operations, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, equipment availability, and alignment with global business objectives.

  • Lead and direct the logistics team, fostering clear accountability, balanced workload distribution, and consistent performance monitoring.
  • Enhance container logistics processes to reduce operational costs and improve service efficiency.
  • Oversight of container forecasting, provisioning, and inventory management across Australian ports to meet export demands.
  • Manage container movement data, sales, repairs, and claims in accordance with corporate directives.
  • Ensure timely execution of container transport and processing of related invoices.
  • Promote cost-control initiatives and manage container stock imbalances and idle assets across regions.
  • Support internal stakeholders, maintain reporting systems, and deliver ongoing training and development for staff.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, International Business, or Supply Chain/Logistics.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and adaptability to internal systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and strategic decision-making abilities.
  • Proven experience working under pressure in fast-paced environments, managing competing priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Extensive prior experience in container logistics, stock management, and high-volume equipment flows.
  • Demonstrated team leadership and supervisory experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
