**Job Title:** Chief of Staff for News and Current Affairs Video Content

The role involves managing a team of multimedia producers and journalists to create and distribute consumer-first news content that matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set the daily editorial agenda, assigning tasks to a national team of journalists and producers.
  • Commission content for specific audiences across various channels.
  • Implement strategies to maximise engagement, revenue, and referral traffic.
  • Manage a team of multimedia producers and journalists, fostering a great culture.
  • Report on content performance, sharing key insights and recommendations with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all content meets legal and moderation standards prior to publication.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience managing people in a fast-paced environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital and social media platforms, including emerging trends, analytics, and algorithms.
  • Extensive experience working in a newsroom.
  • Well-developed experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in editorial and technological workflows.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
