Product Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that suppliers consistently meet the standards required to support production of world-class products.

You will work closely with suppliers, engineering, and production teams to drive quality improvements, manage supplier performance, and prevent defects from reaching manufacturing lines.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
  • Conducting supplier audits, assessments, and root cause analyses
  • Reviewing PPAP submissions and ensuring timely approvals
  • Driving corrective and preventive actions with suppliers for non-conformances
  • Supporting new product launches by ensuring suppliers deliver quality components on time
  • Collaborating with engineering, purchasing, and production to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Monitoring supplier KPIs and leading continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensuring materials/components meet specifications, drawings, and regulatory requirements
  • Communicating supplier performance to management and cross-functional teams

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Engineering qualification (mechanical, manufacturing, or related discipline)
  • Automotive industry experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or engineering
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC)
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001/IATF 16949/AS9100 or equivalent
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management ability
  • Willingness to travel to supplier sites as required
