Brisbane Local Transport Allocator

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a local transport allocator in Brisbane.

This is a permanent full-time position responsible for assisting the senior allocator, organizing pickups and local deliveries, allocating local fleet and drivers, meeting timeslots, ensuring timely deliveries, and communicating with drivers and other divisions of the business.

  • Assist the senior allocator in managing daily tasks and operations
  • Organize pickups and local deliveries into efficient runs
  • Allocate local fleet and drivers to meet operational needs
  • Meet timeslots to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure all paperwork for deliveries is complete and accurate
  • Communicate effectively with drivers and other divisions of the business
  • Report KPIs to management
Key Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the transport industry
  • Strong knowledge of the Brisbane Metropolitan region
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and take on additional responsibilities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills (Outlook, Excel & Word)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Confidence in communicating with people face-to-face
  • Self-motivation, reliability, and enthusiasm
